About Me (Cool guy i hear)

I'm a 5th-year Software Engineering student with a passion for building high-performance, maintainable software. Over the past three years, I've been deeply involved in data acquisition and software development for the McMaster Baja Racing team, progressing from contributor to Software Lead. My focus has always been on improving system reliability, scalability, and usability, ensuring that our team's software meets industry standards and is sustainable for future generations.

My Baja Journey

• Year 1 – Data Viewer Development

  • Designed and built the Data Viewer, a tool to visualize and analyze race telemetry, helping the team make data-driven performance improvements.

• Year 2 – DAQ Lead & Electrical Integration

  • Led the Data Acquisition (DAQ) team, working hands-on with hardware and embedded systems.
  • Expanded the Data Viewer and developed additional software tools to streamline testing and analysis.

• Year 3 – Software Lead (Current Role)

  • Overseeing all software projects within the team, ensuring code maintainability and long-term usability.
  • Standardizing software practices, incorporating lessons learned from industry co-ops to enhance development workflows.
  • Mentoring new team members to pass on the knowledge and tools for future Baja engineers.

  My primary focus is on scalability, maintainability, and efficiency. Whether it's refining data pipelines, optimizing telemetry processing, or ensuring seamless integration between hardware and software, I strive to create solutions that last beyond my time on the team.

  With experience across embedded systems, full-stack development, and DevOps, I bring a holistic approach to software engineering—combining practical experience from Baja with industry best practices learned from my co-op placements.
